A simple summer melt strategy

Students in your district have taken the pledge to attend college through Red River Promise, Texoma Promise, or TJC Promise — help them finish the enrollment process by partnering with Graduation Alliance. Your district can earn a $3,000 or $5,000 HB 3 bonus for every college-ready student who matriculates into a college or university.

The College, Career, or Military Readiness (CCMR) Outcomes Bonus, House Bill 3 allows districts to earn additional funds for preparing graduates for college, a career, or the military. 

These bonuses are paid for each annual graduate above a certain threshold percentage:

• $5,000 for economically disadvantaged graduates

• $3,000 for non-economically disadvantaged graduates

• An additional $2,000 for graduates enrolled in special education

Staff are already overwhelmed and limited in their resources — offering extra college and career support to every graduate just isn’t possible, especially after graduation. Graduation Alliance’s Registration Recovery program provides virtual college enrollment support to reduce summer melt and help students confirm their college plans — up until the last minute. If your college-ready students are enrolled in college on the 12th day of class in the fall semester following high school graduation, your district will receive a bonus.

In partnership with educators, government agencies, and community leaders across the nation, Graduation Alliance provides versatile pathways to high school graduation for youth and adults, fosters college and career exploration, and connects job creators to skilled and ready workers. Our Registration Recovery program is trusted by Texas Promise Programs across the state and has demonstrated a conversion rate of up to 45%. 

Red River Promise, Texoma Promise, and TJC Promise have negotiated special pricing for participating school districts wanting to help the class of 2022 lock in their plans for fall and receive the CCMR Outcomes Bonus. 

Registration Recovery uses a multi-channel outreach strategy to connect with students who have taken a Promise pledge and started the application or enrollment process at a participating college. Our team helps students get connected to institutional support to complete any remaining steps so they can start college this fall.

As a partner, we’re transparent about our progress and results. You’ll have access to weekly progress reports that include:

• Per student contact results and progression through outreach strategy

• Student questionnaire responses from those who don’t plan on attending a Promise college

• Enrollment data and outcomes 

Partnering with Graduation Alliance this summer will allow you to provide students with the extra support they need to enroll in a Promise college. For a small investment of just $30 per student, you can help more of your grads enroll in college, resulting in bonuses of $3,000 or $5,000 per college-ready student. 

ELIGIBLE DISTRICTS

The following school districts are eligible for virtual college enrollment support through Graduation Alliance’s Registration Recovery program at a reduced rate of $30 per student.
